REWIND

Relay-based Next Generation Wireless Broadband Networks and Associated Components

SCOPE:

Relay based next generation wireless broadband networks currently attract a lot of research interest as they have the potential to provide higher capacity and extended coverage. The additional element introduced for these networks is the Relay Station, which acts as the means that enhances the communication link between the Base Station and the Mobile Subscribers.

This special session will focus on the development and the performance analysis of novel algorithms and techniques that enhance and support a Relay based network. In addition, focus will be given on the design and development of the hardware components, systems and subsystems of a Relay Station (Antenna Systems, Multiple-Input-Multiple-Output Systems, RF-Front-Ends, IF/RF processing units, etc.)
