MOBILIA
Mobility Concepts and IMT-advanced10-12 May 2010 | Barcelona, Spain
SCOPE:
Future multi-network broadband wireless systems will need advanced air interfaces at PHY and link layers, including MIMO techniques, as well as seamless session roaming between heterogeneous access networks. In addition, in such future environments terminals should be reconfigurable, and able to optimise the power consumption.
This special session will focuses on some of the most interesting challenges which will be brought about with the upcoming wireless communication technologies, addressing various technical aspects, mainly in the context of Mobility concepts and IMT-advanced, covering LTE, IEEE 802.16m, IEEE 802.16j and beyond.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Resource management in heterogeneous wireless access
- Analysis of performance: B3G system level simulations
- Relaying schemes: cooperative relays, virtual MIMO
- Use of mathematical tools: game theory, linear programming, etc
- Advanced PHY/MAC techniques
- Reconfigurability at the user terminal
- Mobility on multi-rate architectures
- Power consumption optimisation
